As a lecturer in power engineering at the University of Tasmania, Australia where he was the initiator and a driving force behind the establishment of one of the first (if not actually “the first”) Centres for Power Quality research in Australia. His research work has been mainly in two areas power system dynamics and control and power quality with a common, underlying stream of probabilistic/stochastic modelling of uncertainties of events and system parameters. Prof. Milanović is Chartered Engineer in the UK, Fellow (Foreign) of Serbina Academy of Engineering Sciences, Fellow of the IET and Senior Member of the IEEE. He has organised and presented over 50 courses and lectures in the area of power system dynamics and stability and power quality around the world and published over 180 papers in international journals and in proceedings of international conferences.
